When the worlds largest music retailer decides to encase all music in the same packaging, an iPod, it makes me want strike a blow for CDs and LPs. Pushing a button and watching a progress bar is nothing like ripping the plastic of and holding a well-design jewel case in your hand.

There’s no doubt that most of the music I own is stored in a digital format. Maybe I’m hypocritical, but there are few things that makes me tick like when I’m flipping through a good collection of captivating CD covers – and doing it in iTunes just isn’t the same.

Thus I add something extra to my playlists and compilations. I add packaging. The music will always matter the most, but I take great pride in creating a setting for the music that I’ve chosen.
